Now is a great time to update your navigation system if you haven’t lately. Thousands of miles of roads and points of interest are added each year.
Updating your car’s navigation system might feel daunting, but to help make it as easy as possible, we’ve created a step-by-step guide on how it’s done.
For cars enrolled to CUPRA CONNECT or MyCUPRA
If you are enrolled to the CUPRA CONNECT or My CUPRA app and a software update is available, you will see either a pop up message, or a red dot on the top right of the screen of your infotainment system. You can swipe downwards on the screen to see all notifications, including the update.
Before accepting the update, please check the following is in place as the software may not be installed :
- Ensure your CUPRA is registered in the CUPRA CONNECT or My CUPRA app¹
- The Primary User² is connected to the vehicle.
- The system is not in maximum privacy mode³.
To download and install an update, the ignition must be switched on and the car must be stationary. The update will pause and resume automatically.

For vehicles manufactured from 2021 without enrollment to CUPRA CONNECT or MyCUPRA
If you aren't enrolled on the CUPRA CONNECT or My CUPRA app, select your model below to find download links and instructions on updating.
The update is only performed with the infotainment system switched on. When the infotainment system is switched off, the installation process is interrupted and resumes automatically when the system is switched on again.
For vehicles manufactured before 2021 without CUPRA CONNECT or MyCUPRA
If you aren't enrolled to the CUPRA CONNECT or My CUPRA app, please note that the only way to update the Sat Nav is through the purchase of an SD card from an authorised CUPRA Retailer. For more information, please contact your local Retailer.
